Renee –
We hope all is well with you! It has been far too long since we sent you any updates on Cooper, so we wanted to send you some pictures and let you know how things are going!
He has been the most amazing addition to our family. It has been a very stressful year for our two daughters (adjusting to new schools, sports injuries, serious homework workloads, etc), but the love he showers on them every morning and every afternoon when they get into the car after school – can’t even put into words the impact he has had. They have both told us what a huge difference he has made in their lives, and how they can’t imagine our house without him.
They have really kept up their end of the bargain with respect to taking care of a dog as well. They do their share of all of the Cooper-related chores; taking him outside, walks, baths, brushing, training, etc. They worked with him every day over the summer, trained him on a number of commands, taught him a home-made indoor “agility course,” and of course dressed him up every once in a while☺
He is so smart and picks things up so quickly. We finally got him enrolled in some training classes, and after looking at what they taught in the beginner class, we put him straight into the intermediate class, as he has already mastered all of the basic commands. He has been to two classes so far and is doing great!
He gets comments and smiles every where we go, and everyone wants to meet him and know what breed he is. Such a great personality, so friendly and playful, loves meeting new people and making new friends.
He is our first real family pet other than fish, and we can’t say enough about how quickly he stole our hearts!
Thank you!
