Dear Renee,
I meant to get this email off to you last week but I took off a few days to celebrate my birthday and Randolph Scott’s. My birthday was 8/13 and his was 8/14. Randolph Scott turned one!!!! Can you believe it? It seems like just yesterday we fought off Hurricane Matthew to come down to your house and pick up the little guy. Well, he’s not so little anymore! Not quite the size of Remington Steele but almost!!!! I’ve attached several pictures. Randolph stressed out over his birthday hat so those pictures didn’t turn out to well. Then when we tried to get a picture of all 3 of our guys he was still stressed. Oh well, there’s always his next birthday! And I added 2 photos of Remington pulling schnoodle antics!
Jeff and I are having a blast with Randolph! And he’s quite the talker! We’ve never experienced anything quite like him before. I was looking at your website and it looks as though you’re having a busy summer with new litters! That’s wonderful! Jeff and I still talk about a parti giant. Have you had any luck with them? Our only concern is that if a giant is anywhere near as active (not really hyper) as the minis then we might not be able to handle one. When walking our three guys and they see a squirrel, a biker, another dog being walked, a cat even a leaf blowing across the lawn if you’re not paying close attention they can almost pull you down. Any suggestions?
Well, I know you are busy so I won’t keep you. Just wanted you to know that brothers Remington Steele and Randolph Scott are doing fine and love each other! And boy do we love them. We’ll be wanting another one but need to wait at least another year to let Randolph grow and get some manners! They all sleep with me until Jeff comes home near 1 a.m. Randolph is already starting to sound like he’s going to be a snorer with his nasal breathing.
Oh, something else I’ve noticed about Randolph Scott. We can have the back door to the porch open and Rowdy Yates and Remington Steele are baking in the sun. Not Randolph. He doesn’t take to the heat. If I’m sitting out there with them he goes to the door and just sits and waits to be let in.
Take care Renee and tell Bill we said hello. If you ever see Bianca (I can’t help but think of her all the time) tell her you know someone that has two of her sons and they have turned out to be best young men anyone could have every asked for! Jeff will playing with Randolph and put a hold on him that he calls a “half nelson” and say to him “what would your mother say if she could see you now?” All I can think of is that she’d say she’s proud of him! I know I am!
